Training Courses at IRSC
The courses and potential ECTS credits
The training courses offered by IRSC are structured around the 5 Pillars of the UN Decade of Road Safety. Further information about the training and services offered and the content of the specific courses offered under each pillar can be found in the Pillar sub-menus (P1 to P5).
IRSC training courses are modular and of sufficiently high quality that it is expected that course participants may be able to build up credits within the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Course credits can be gained at IRSC Belgrade or follow up in-country training at approved / designated partner organisations.
IRSC training programmes can lead to eventual qualifications and certification as an IRSC approved Road Safety Professional (Level 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5). The credits obtained through IRSC training may be acceptable to the European Bolognas entry requirements system for degree level studies at European Universities. This is under development.
IRSC courses are available in three categories designed specifically for the following target groups:
- CHIEF EXECUTIVE level courses for the highest level officials responsible for road safety across all five pillars;
- SENIOR EXECUTIVE level courses in each individual pillar for the most senior person with specific pillar responsibilities;
- EXECUTIVE level courses in specific technical aspects within each pillar.
